This will be a very brief bio of our life before Henry …

Dan and I met after completing a six-month deployment aboard the USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67). Notice the key word AFTER. Our courtship was quite brief as we were pretty smitten from the get go, however we still faced days, weeks and months of separation at a time because of the needs of the Navy.

We married on June 11, 2005 in the church I grew up in (Celebration Lutheran) in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. A honeymoon to Alaska thus followed:)

Following our marriage, we faced big career changes. Dan was discharged from the Navy because of complications with his shoulder. He then continued with school and eventually got a job at our local utility company. In 2007, I decided on a career change to become a teacher. We are both eternally grateful for the experiences and people the Navy brought into our lives.

Since then we have enjoyed life, our friends and each other to the fullest. There is no one else in the world I want by my side!
